Puppet Assembly

Today the Puppet Lunchtime Club put on  show for the whole school teaching is about Christianity, telling us about the Christian belief in the armour of God.      We found out that the Armour of God, includes the belt of truth, the breastplate of righteousness, the “shoes” of the gospel of peace, the shield of faith, the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit.  These are a metaphor and not a uniform you can see.

The puppeteers did a worked incredibly hard and even produced their own Powerpoint presentation to support the performance.

This is also the first time we have used the puppets donated by the PTFA.  Thank you PTFA!

Happy New Year!

What a lovely start to 2015 we have had welcoming all our happy children back to school. We started with an assembly thinking about our theme for this term – Resourcefulness. We also thought about our New Year Resolutions and the Junior Leader have set up a Padlet on their page to hear all about the resolutions we have set ourselves.

Today started with a very special assembly led by the Year 6 puppeteers. Three camels told us all about Epiphany. It was such fun but also gave a super explanation of this important time in the Christian calendar. The puppeteers were so confident and talented that one of our youngest children was convinced the camels were real. A talking camel would certainly add to our exciting school!
