Crib Service

Today the Hallpark choir were invited to lead the St Cuthbert’s Crib Service alongside Lytham C of E School.  The choir were spectacular and entertained the congregation with their festive Christmas carols. Afterwards the children had the chance to look around the wonderful crib scenes, contributed by different groups in the community.

Our big blogging lesson!

We welcomed Deputy Mitchell into Hall Park today to help us hit a world wide audience with our blogs. Deputy Mitchell worked with our Year 1 class who all impressed him by writing their own blog post. Year 6 then joined together in a really BIG blogging lesson in the hall where we learned about the schools we will work with in our Quad Blogging project from Norway, Chicago and Manchester.

Dan Worsley visit to Key Stage 2

This morning we were delighted to welcome, local author, Dan Worsley into our assembly. It was fascinating to hear about his writing journey, from gathering his ideas, writing, editing, illustrating and publishing his books…a process that takes him months. We heard about his books and met his new character, Eric Appleby. We look forward to working with Dan throughout this year.

Children in Need – Pudsey’s Visit to Lytham Hall Park

What an exciting morning we had on Wednesday when Pudsey Bear and Graham from BBC Radio Lancashire came to school to hear all about our fundraising for Children in Need. We learned all about the work that school council had done. One of our Year 4 children was also interviewed live for the radio, sharing the work he has done over the last 5 years to raise more than £700. Well done!
